N-Gage backlight problem - is anyone experiencing this, too?

I bought my N-Gage last month, and I was quite comfortable with it. Nothing was wrong , except for the 'corrupted mmc' problem, which I luckily got through. But today when I met another N-Gage user, I realized that my display was dimmer than his! (His was 2 months older than mine, and it wasn't customized) I noticed this dim backlight since the first time I used my N-Gage, but I thought that was just the way it was (I read article promising brighter display on QD) What do you think had happened? Is it worth going to NPC? Thank you.

Unfortunately you CAN'T actually adjust the brightness on the N-Gage, but you CAN adjust the contrast... Simply navigate to Tools (or wherever you have moved "Settings" to)-->Settings-->Device-->Display-->Contrast. Here you can adjust the contrast of your game deck to better suit your needs. Unfortunately, if this is still not bright enough, you're gonna have to wait until the N-Gage QD is released in your country (if it is not already available)- it has a MUCH brighter screen!

well, the problem is, even the keypad light is dim! Brought it to NPC, they said nothing was wrong... Bad manufacturing?

may be the voltage output of your charger is lower than the standard N-gage charger (Output: 5.7V---/800mA)

Although the N-Gage's backlight isn't of the same brightness as the Nokia 6600, it IS still bright enough for most situations... The keypad backlight isn't all that bright, but again, it's more than bright enough for most environments.
