How big is the file size of a N-gage game generally?

I guess it's around 60MB...but I don't know for sure..so..

Do you know anything about it?

THX.

I found that most games are in the region of 3 to 8 mbs. plenty of room for more than one game on a 32 mb card. FIFA 2004 is about 4 mbs and it has great graphics same as Splinter cell. (About 6.5 Mb)

Na dther is aslwasy Kazza

3 to 8 mb ? something is not right about Nokia N-gage promotion and producing teams...

with the file size small like this, they could just pop some games up EVERYDAY!

man, I was amazed. 😮

PTG will aperanently be about 64mb. I may stop supporting nokia if they don't start making all there games at least 32 mb. Even if the game is very simple some nice fmv's or voice acting and good clear music could be used to enhace the experience. MMC's are getting cheaper you can buy a 128 mb mmc at allack for 30 bucks. within the next year there better be some games that take advantage of this. I'm really tired of reading text with the DS supporting games up to 128mb (rumor) and PSP at nearly 2gigs and nokia using mmc's (which go up tp 1gig ) theirs no reason to read text or have really low quality music... cough... cough... sonic.

What does filesize have to do with the game quality??????
You can create great looking games with low storage requirements.
Never heard of the 96kb game???

Anyway, most of the current games won't improve much by adding MegaBytes, if the N-Gage would have been able to display better graphics and sound better for a certain game they would've done it, I don't think they said, oh let's make it look uglier so we can have it on a smaller disk ....

I guess you guys are the kind of people who only buy the most expensive things because they are the most expensive and therefor the best 😛

Do I even have to comment on this?
In general computer terms you can say that bigger file size = less work. Not the way around.

But that's not even the point, even the smallest Java game can take as long to develop as a big time 4gig game.

Development Time does not ness equal a good game. One of the greatest games I've programmed (looking at user feedback) is SF Cave on the 9210. The final file size was 12K for the program and 20K for the desktop wallpaper. 63.99mb FMV and voiceovers would not have helped the gameplay.

An N-Gage S60 version is in the works.,

Sneak pics? Not yet - the hold up is in the actual async code. It's just waiting on a few changes in the C++ runtime.

How much did you charge for this 12k game? I doubt you charged 34.99. When I pay that much for a game i aspect high production value. Like I said before I don't like reading in games and listening to highly compressed music. (Rumor) I just heard that nokia ment to distribut games online, but developers wouldn't agree to it.

😎 well then pay to nitendo for their extremly well designe games that are just enough till you need to buy something else that youll only use whit that particular games and that at the end u gonna finish get bored off it and go and buy more high quality games for your high standar .... 🙄 ....man you forget one thing this are just games!!!! for the cellphone!!!!

and i dont think nokia have ever intented that it would just trow away all the marketing for make it profitable :?

Yes, I do have high standards. If a company has the technology and the means to make a game better I expect them to make it better. I'm not saying that every game has to be a cinematic master piece. Puyo pop was less than 2mbs but it's still my favorite ngage game. The sounds or "music" in Sonic N made my ears bleed. There was no need for that much compression. also high production values make me feel nice.
