hey! i'm trying to send some files to my communicator form a Laptop. but it isn't working. in the other hand, i can send to the laptop everything no problem in sending. but why it doesn't recieve files or pictures??

It works with Win98 on my machine, using mE or NT or 2000 gives the same result by me as by you

WIN 2000 works fine for me, not always at the first try. It sometimes gives me an communication error, but if I try it immediately again, it works fine, both sending and receiving.
what is the your operating system on your laptop?
Windows 2000 Professional with all 3 service packs installed on a Toshiba Tecra 9000.

OK, I must say I resugnated from this problem..

I had Win98SE on my Toshiba Portege preinstalled and then I tried to change to ME or 2000 I got a lot of unpredictable errors and.. just returned to 98.

For 2000 there was a special utility somewhere on the web to enable IRDA, but you seem to have all.

Best luck-Hyv jatkoa!
Are you trying to send them using only IR, or are you trying to send them using PC Suite?
Only using IR! PC Suite is installed and I use it sometimes as well. Another problem with sending via IR is that the file date on my 9210 is always 01.01.48, whereas PC Suite transfers the dates correctly.

I send all my files to or from Comm, but not with a standard utility of the operation system.

i just place comm close to IR port on my Portege and start IR. Then I'm able to open and browse all directories on the 9210 as well as on my laptop. I just drag'n'drop files from one window to another.

i'm using XP .. then the problem is the OS, right?
and i'm using HP deskjet 990cxi .. i'm trying to print by the irda, but it doesn't print colors. always B&W. any suggestions?
thanks alot
