All the viking software installers are buggy. Or at least two of them I have tried on my phone. They will not install by bt (from a mac but other apps do). They only installed w/ the pc suite. I installed their gps software, which is nice if you believe you get 115% signal strength ever. That app worked fine. MP3 Player was good because it played through my hands free, but it had no resume function after that so I had to use my handset. The 10min demo is wrong. AND the uninstaller would NOT unistall it. I just had to delete manually and hope for the best. I already emailed them about their installers, but no response so my advice is don't try it. Besides, helix will play them and so will readm. I'm waiting to see what comes out. Let us know what you end up finding.

edit ps: I forgot, the first file would install fine in a 3650 (and seemed to work right too) using the bluetooth method.

I use ultra mp3 and have been quite happy with it. The only bad thing is it works with a standard wired handsfree but it wont start a song if your using a bluetooth handsfree. Unless thats just whats happening to me ??

It's probably not just happening to you. The same thing happens in: Helix and ReadM. It will just keep the playcount at zero. It doesn't happen in real or voicerecorder. It may be how the app is set to output by default (does it obey the phone prefs or does it use loudspeaker), or it's just a fix that needs to be built into ultra. It is fixable (if real and voicerecorder work for you) so email the authors.

What bt handsfree are you using and do the other apps work on it?

Im using a Sony Ericsson HBH-35 Bluetooth headset. ( originally bought for my t610 but it works great with 6600 as well) . Your right it does just keep the playcount at zero. If i have no headset plugged in it just plays through the loudspeaker, if i have wired boom headset plugged in it plays through that and works fine. The bluetooth is the only one that doesnt work. I havent tried with other apps yet but will later, it seems to work perfectly with everything else.

I just tested it with realplayer and a few games and the sound comes through perfectly , seems like its just ultra.

It doesnt bother me enough to write to the authors about at the moment. I need to buy a larger mmc to have enough space for more than just 4 to 6 mp3's 😊

Thanks for the help

I've tried MP3 Gravity and currently have a MP3 player by Viking. Gravity looked good, but didn't have a fast forward function despite the pics on their website and nokia's webite showing that it did. I emailed them asking why I'd spent a tenner on an mp3 player with no fast forward function, a month later I'm still waiting for a reply..

The one from viking is pretty good. Has a little bug though. I'm using the Nokia HDD-1 headphones, everytime the track changes or you take it off pause the music starts to play through the built in speaker and the headphones. I then have to remove the jack plug for a second in order for the speaker to be turned off. Other than that its pretty good.

If anyone has a program that doesn't do this, please let me know. I might go buy a copy..

Version 1.0
