I've just installed the newest SmartMovie on my N-Gage and the with that the SmartMovie Converter on my Win2000. The thing is that when I choose to encode/convert my avi/mpg at 80 kbps it runs more or less smoothly on my N-Gage but it's a quite low quality. But when I set the conversion parameters to 512 kbps and then try to watch the movie file - it becomes VERY good quality but skips a lot of frames and is very slow.
My questions are:
Why does it do that? Is it the N-Gage that is unable to decompress the XVID-file fast enough?
And what would be the max. kbps conversion bitrate that would run smoothly on an N-Gage?

I think 128 is the upper limit, I use 96 because of the better framerate.
I think it's overall speed issue, card access, cpu, ...
512Kbps on the N-Gage?Maybe with a 400 Mhz CPU 😉
