I wouldn't try it. My first 6600 sounded fine with the volume full, the second sounded thrashed. IMHO the default speaker in the 6600 is pos. You can keep increasing the volume of a wav on export if you really want to hear some 'clipping'. I guess we all know by now the audio system on the 6600 is nothing compared to what it could be. Summary...I wouldn't try apps to boost the volume, but if you can replace the speaker (same fit,impedence/resistance, power requirements, etc) then it might be worth a shot.
Anyone know where I can find a service manual for my 6600 because I think my local dealer and their repair shop need one 😉

Lol 😊
The 6230 has a great sounding speaker,on a par with n-gage at least.

Its not the speaker!!!!!!!!!!!
I have just swapped the speakers between a 6600 and an N Gage (Same Physical size, but different numbers printed) and they both sound the same as before, however i have made my 6600 a lot louder now than before with no "external differences" internally a different story lol. 😊

Can you please tell us how you made it?
thank you

And me please. My brother has a new 6600 and the volume is terribly low. It's fine with his bluetooth headset in but now without.
Just to clarify - the problem is with the speaker volume on the phone, during a phonecall. It used to be fine until a few days ago but now, even at full volume, he (my brother) can hardly hear the person on the other end. However, when he attaches the bluetooth headset there is no problem.
I'm inclined to wonder if there this was something to do with the bluetooth headset as it apparently controls the volume on the phone? Could it have incorrectly set set it too low or otherwise interfered with it?
