Help!

I transferred a .sis on my inbox and then installed it. I am not satisfied so i removed the program at once using my Manager.

the program has been successful removed from the Manager of my phone. HOwever, i can not delete the installer in my inbox!

There was this announcement:

General: Already in use!

I tried to restart my phone but its the same..

Please pls! how can i delete this msg (installer) in my inbox?

Thanks a lot!

Tools required:

Fexplorer (free) http://users.skynet.be/domi/fexplorer.htm

Optional:

A text editor on a bluetooth connected machine

Files optional: original sis file or file from
drive>system>install>

To delete a file from your inbox:
1) simply note down the name of the file in (case sensitive)
2) perform a search with fexplorer and delete

If that doesn't work then Browse the mail folder 1001 etc to find the file and delete it from there

To delete a file completely which will not uninstall with the installer:

Open the sis file in your favorite text editor (or the 'receipt' text file from drive>system>install)

Look for the plaintext part that lists files. Everything after a : is a file that will be installed

Follow the paths and delete the files. Don't delete .dll's unless you know exactly what you are doing. This is a last ditch effort here

Also, you can't know where a file goes (a sis text spec may say :system/blah/blah, but it won't necessarily specify system on your flash, mmc, whatever.

Hope it helps

jASonT you are simply the beST! THANKS A LOT IT WORKS!!!!

Here's what i did:

1. I uninstalled the program (Quickword-lets 6600 read .doc)
2. I search for the file name using FExplorer
3. The explorer didn't found anything which mean i won't be able to locate where the file is located. I don't want to dig up so...
4. I reinstalled the program.
5. I search the file name using the explorer
6. I found it! I deleted it using the explorer
7. I opened my inbox and deleted the message that contains the .sis file and it was successfully deleted no question asked!!!

Thanks a lot man!!!! If you're not here for sure I won't get into sleep bcoz of this. Thanks a lot! I was shouting "shit!" since a while ago but you suddenly appear in the dark clouds...lol

Cool, I'm glad it worked for you. I'll have to remember that part about reinstalling the program. I'm not surprised you didn't want to browse the mail folders, that's painful. Aparently fexplorer 1.12 sorts the mail folders to human readable, but that a way away.
