General System Error

I get a 'General System Error' warning when ever I try to connect to my email.

I have set up 2 different emails, both POP3 (and different companies). I can currently access them both through outlook, but not through my 7650.

Ideas?

THanks

Some GPRS accounts are only for WAP! Check that ith your Network! Try your regular ISP for your PC and see if it works!

I am using orange, and the nice lady on the end of the phone asked me what I was using GPRS for when I signed up - I said email access.

So I should try setting up my ISP email account on the 7650?

Well I mean something else! Go to www.nokia.co.uk and configure your phone for email access! try orange or your ISP (in my case BTinternet)!

Or set your access point manualy with your ISP dialup number! If this works then your GPRS account does not hangle regular web traffic!

This has nothing to do with email accounts! You have probably set them up correctly!

I had this problem with my orange phone, you need to set up a new access point called orangeinternet (all lower case) from the default settings for acccess points, and then choose for your email to be accessed via that one. I was very surprised that the orange phones didnot come with this already on the phone.
The access point called orangegprs is only for wap access apparently, I found all this out by calling 156 Fax and Data services.

Under My Access Points I Have
Orange[/list:u]
Orange GPRS[/list:u]
Orange MMS[/list:u]

adding one called orangeinternet has no effect

I got the email working with an analoge dial up - I used my old ISP, NTL.

So do I call up orange and ask why GRPS isnt working now?
