Does the PC Suite or the 6600 phone have settings that enable you to set up the way the syncronisation happens? Last night I deleted some calender entries for the day, did a synch and found Outlook 2003 had put them back again! What is the point of that? Am I supposed to edit Outlook and then sync or what?
On my P900, you could set up which way you wanted the syncing to happen. Not happy!

Once I noticed that a full pc restore using the suite gives you old school address cards w/o picture associations I switched back to isync, but the phone does have the sync profiles for syncing over a network. It may be limitted to tcp/ip, whatever, but you can look in the connect folder and see if you can make any changes to the sync profiles that alters the way this works. There has to be a way to make it sync w/o just combining data. Try a forum search.

Sounds like you had it set to sync only from PC to phone direction.

2. Synchronise Pull-down menu -> Configure Tasks ...
3. Calendar Manage Tasks ... button
4. Calendar etc. Properties ...
5. Calendar/To-do etc. Change
6. Change ...
7. General
8. Device Overwrites PC
9. OK

No, nothing's difficult when you know how? Knowledge is a wonderful thing! I only asked because when using a P900, you use the phone to change the settings, not the software. So perhaps not such a stupid question after all? And the Nokia manual is not much help either....

haha manuals are virtually useless most of the time. Can only the solve the very most basic of problems by reading the manual.
