ok i have just got my nokia 6600, i have an mp3 player and want a set of headphones ,
i got a 2.5mm to 3.5mm socket converta to use my own headpones (just to try), but i get 'enhancment not supported' when its plugged in , i do get sound out of one of the sides of the headphone, not both 😞 and music is still coming out the speaker
what do i do or need to purchase to give me sound out of both sides of the headphone and not out the speaker at all ? i really bought the phone to use on the train and not going well so far !

You get mono sound anyways. The most useful thing you can get is a bluetooth headset and listen to some audiobooks every once in a while so you don't get to mad about the phone mono only subsystem.
I just use the Nokia HDD-1 headset. Seems to do the trick. I bought an adaptor too and had the same trouble..

the 2.5 mm convertor , isit 3 stripes? or 2 stripes? because for the phone , the pin need 3 stripes, if not , it will show enhancement not supported, or u can only hear one side only.
i have mine and it's working perfectly just that it's in mono.
u can use mp3 player not ultramp3 player, mp3 player has the equalizer setting but doesn't help much as the sound still in mono,
if u wanna listen to mp3 , better get mp3 player 😊
