ClassID for 6620 (for iSync) How do I find it...?

I'm trying to follow the 6600 iSync directions for my 6620. I'm assuming the ClassID needs to be something different for this phone (and indeed with all the changes made it still is not recognized as sync-able). How can I find the ClassID of this phone?

Thanks! 😊

Hmm, progress (seems the existing classid from 6600 is fine).

I've tested the 6620 on my PC (winxp, nokia suite 6.1), and it syncs fine. I duplicated the 6600 settings in the isync sections on the mac (as per the 6600 isync thread), using 6620 instead of 6600, and running bluetooth assistant on the mac finds the phone *and* adds it to iSync. This was the only way I could get it into isync - "add device" never sees it.

Attempting a sync generates a phone prompt to allow the mac to connect, which I accept, but isync never seems to manage to actually connect - it eventually times out and displays an "unable to connect. Try syncing again" message.

Any thoughts?

I too hacked all the symbian conduit files and can get isync to add the device. It starts to connect and then times out.

There's got to be something that can be done to get it to stay connected and sync.

Someone suggested that the new phones are using mRouter any longer. Maybe iSync is making an initial connection and then the computer can't talk to the device.

I dunno.

New Nokia Series 60 phones (6620, 7610 and 6260, 6630 when they become available) do, indeed, not use the m-Router stuff any longer, but their PC-connectivity is based on standards (SyncML, OBEX).

Hey,

I'm spent some time on the 6620 at the AT&T store and I love the phone. It suits all my needs perfectly, except my number one priority which is iSync compatability. If anyone figures out a way to get this phone to sync, please let me know so I can go ahead and buy one. Thanks. I can be reached at [email protected]
