Can anyone tell me how to upload new themes please. The Themes creator does not appear to do this

cheers

Just copy them onto the phone and they should install themselves. You can e-mail them to the phone, beam them via bluetooth or IR or even download them from the Internet. However, if you want to use the MyP900 icon that forms part of the PCSuite there is a trick. Normally you can only use this to copy over files of the various "Media" types. So, you can only copy Jpgs, gifs etc to the images folder, and only Mp3s etc to the music folder. Theme's are not a media type and so cannot be dragged and dropped to the MyP900 icon.

However, if you have filemanager installed, there is a work around (and if you don't have it installed, get it. It's freeware and essential software for the P900). Rename the theme from <themename>.utz to <themename>.doc. Then copy this file into the Documents\unfiled folder of the MyP900. As the extension is now .doc, it thinks this is a Word file and so allows you to copy it there.

Now, from within the P900, open up the file manager and find the documents\unfiled folder (should be something like D:\media\documents\unfiled if you copied it to the Memory stick duo). Click on the icon to the left of your theme file and from the edit menu choose rename. Change te file extension back to .utz and select done. Now just tap on the filename. Filemanager should realise it is a theme and automatically install it for you.
