Well the title pretty much says it all. The topics take awfully long to load (I load approximately 10-15 at the same time 😊 ) and if I post something it either takes more than a minute or I even get the message that the server is too busy.
I have a 1120Kbit/s internet connection, so that's not the problem. Anyone else noticed this?
Yep. It's been slow all of this week. Though, strangely, it seems to have picked up today (Friday 11th).
Well, at least I'm not alone.... Any more people noticed it? Can anyone do something about it...?

Well speed has been rather good last 2 weeks, but now it's terribly slow again 🙄
I did notice a slight turn down a few weeks ago, but things have been better recently. As far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with the server itself. It might be due to the network connection (there were a few problems earlier this week). I'm on dial up and rarely have to wait more that 5 seconds for a page load and usually it is much less than that.
I'll keep a close eye on things, but as others have commented thing seem good today.
Also please note that at time things do get quite busy. 500 simulatneous user does take a lot of power.
If you have anything more specific please post to this thread or let me know.
This site has pretty much always been loading slowly for me. At times the speed is bearable, but still slower than basically any other site I visit. And today it's exceptionally bad. At times it takes as much as two whole minutes to fully load a page (and I have a fast connection). It's not only the speed, but also constant server drop-outs. In fact, as I was about to post this reply I lost connection to the server for 5 minutes or so.
I wonder what the problem may be....? :? Where is the server located?
The server is in the US (located at theplanet data center). www.theplanet.com - this is a large commercial hosting company.
I'm somewhat worried that there maybe something misconfigured on the server. However given that everyone is having different rates I suspect a network problem. It would be very helpful if people could provide their ping or traceroute data here as that would give me something to work with.

Seems VERY slow again. Tried to ping but just kept getting "Timed out in Transit" errors. The usual comparative tests with the likes of microsoft.com and Yahoo.com were all responding fine so it does seem to be a problem either at or just before the AAS host.
I'm afraid it is again... Don't know how to ping, sorry :redface:

I'm on dial up because I can't get broadband where I live!
I could very much do with some ping and or trace route information from others.
In windows you can obtain this froom the command line / command prompt by typing:
tracert allaboutsymbian.com
and
ping allaboutsymbian.com
To copy the results to the clipboard right click and choose mark then press enter key to copy.
