hi all

After I bot this 7650, I've been absolutely fascinated... using MIDI files as ringtones. I love its natural and hifi-ish tunes...

okie.. can anyone share on the best sites for MIDI download, for best quality MIDI?

The mid file you posted is GOOD 8)

i have attached a nice one![/quote]

you can also use .wav but to make it work you need to convert to:
bit rate: 176kbps
8 bit
stereo
format pcm
I tried other settings and it did not work.
after you send from the computer to the phone you need a program like seleq to copy paste to the ringtones directory (c drive where all the other .mid files are) and voila!!

I convert mine to 11000Hz 8 bit, Mono, pcm format and that works a treat for me. I use sound recorder that comes with window to convert it. I send by email to my phone. I don't need SeleQ to copy and paste. Just go to attachments, then save and it saves in your recorder, and show automaticaly in your ringtone list. 8)

i think even mono sounds good because the phone only has a single speaker, it cut's down the half of the file

Nah man ya gotta go all the way
I use .wavfiles done in
Bitrate: 320kbps
32Bit dolby Digital 5.1 Sound

Sure it takes up the wholes phones memory for 5 seconds of audio but hey at least you can say if you ever attach 5.1 speaker setup to the phone it will work fine 😊

Just joking ya'll 😊

Hmm, I did download a lot of wavs, I didnt convert them to anything and I didnt copy and paste them, only send them per IR to the 7650 and save them and they all work properly and are automatically found as ringtones ...

When I search a midi I dont go to one of the midi sites (there are a lot of good ones) but enter "title midi" at google.com and did find everything that way ... 😊
