I have a kingmax 256 mb mmc. the ngage recognizes it and i have formatted it. but after putting in maybe 1-2 mp3's, i get an error message that says the device isn't ready. what could be the problem?
another MMC issue
MMC won't load with USB cable connected to PC - just a reminder. I encountered this problem too... but as I kept installing apps and tools then the message went away, I don't know why, maybe it's the problem of the N-gage body itself, not the MMC's as Symbian OS not really PERFECTLY done. LOL

so basically keep dropping files into the Ngage folder (removable F) until the message goes away?
That seems to be my case. BTW, I am using Kingmax 256MB to.

Here's a screenshot of the error message, tell me if its the same one you got. If its not, possible solutions?
hm...mine was even worst than that , was 'memory corrupted', thought I bought a malfunctional one... In you case, maybe you should check your usb cable or pc usb slot. My pc won't detect my N-gage drive every time I plugged in...
arrrggggg.... this is frustrationg, i can't figure out what the problems is
*frustration bump*

ive had probs with the same mmc, ended up just writing it off, putting it down to experience, bought it from ebay unbelievably cheap hmmm.
used to get error messages galore, it would show mp3s loaded properly (via usb) then when it came to playing it just errored me to oblivion. same with movies too.
even tried loading things to mmc with one of those mulit adaptor jobbies, formatted it a couple of times too.
