6600 or 6620??

I am currently in the market for a new phone. I really like the 6600 and now I have noticed the 6620. I believe the the 6620 is a newer version of the 6600 with a newer processor? I am also wondering if anyone has purchased a 6620 in the US??

The 6620 isn't in shops yet, as far as I'm aware.

If you can wait and primarily live and travel within the US borders, then the 6620 will be a better choice than the 6600 due to its better coverage (two US GSM frequency bands - 850MHz and 1900MHz - instead of just one) and newer software and somewhat more/improved features.

When I asked T-Mo (in CA) if they were going to carry the 850 idiotband phones they said they weren't, but that's 1) a US vendor, and 2) just sales. They did also say they weren't supporting EDGE, so I'd think they have other stuff coming (notice the lack of SonyEricsson's etc).

I spoke to a salesperson at the local T-mo mall kiosk (the source of al relevant information in the modern age) and was told to expect them the last week of June. I must admit that getting information on who is going to sell this phone (6620) has been a challenge. I just hope I can hold out for 2 or 3 weeks without a phone.....
