Application Management issues with N7610

4 replies · 3,032 views · Started 13 June 2004

I now have a 7610 too. And I am using it mostly for business.

Active Today and Agile Messenger after downloaded the upgrade work perfect. However I would like to de-install some of the apps that are pre-installed such as Facewave or the Welcome SW etc. etc.. The goal is to free up memory of course.

Whenever I go inthe Application Manager to de-install, I get a quick message: Childinstaller closed. And the Application Manager removing bar freezes.

Does anyone have the same problem?

thanks out there for help

I just entered this forum to ask the same question, so: no, it's not just you and no, I don't have a solution...

found the solution. You have to format the Memory Card that came with the Nokia 7610 phone. Then the apps are gone. Install the new apps and the App Manager works normal again.

You can delete the files facewave_100504.sis in e:\system\install

after that you can uninstall software !
