Recording & Playing back

hi again..
when i record a song for example, the timer in the laptop is, lets say 40 seconds, but in the comm 30 seconds, when i play back, it's 30 seconds but the acutual is 4o seconds. it's playing faster than the regular.
help help help

Try converting the wav file you recorded with Multi Media Convertor from Nokia. It could be your laptop uses a different codec.

i'm using the Voice Recorder in the 9210i.
try it. start a stopwatch at the same time u start recording.
will they finish together??
here the timer is 1 min and the Recorder timer is 50 secs :-?

it's a software problem, right? i've removed all the programs on my comm. and deleted all the sound files. and still the same.
from where can i get a new recorder?? essential one.

Forgot, 9210i software isn't downloadable from nokia.
you could try the recorder for the nokia 9210 @ 4.13.

Easiest way is to backup the entire c: .
Otherwise copying the recorder files to pc will do fine 2.
Can't tell you which files exactly, I'll try to find out if you can't.
Don't you have a cd with your phone? The sis file should be on there normally.

i've installed the Recorder again. but the same problem. i bought a 8MB mmc. and installed it. then everything works fine.
i think the problem from the -Max Length Available- becuase when it's a small memory it's easier to calculate. what do u think.
btw, i'm using a 64MB mmc , when i recored a Compressed WAV file, it works well. but in Normal as i told u before.

Could be, just tried it with the default folder set to mmc, it works better now.
When I selected the communicator it always stopped, recorded, stopped, recorded. So fucking strange (the file it self was normal). Any how I use a 32mb mmc and had about 9 minutes left and it seemed to do allright.
Your probem could be caused by the big size of the mmc. This will also explain why it works in compress mode. Compress mode is lower sound quality which means lesser cpu to convert, which means more to calculate the massive size.
The recorder doesn't seem to be the most state of the art program 😉
