I thought I read somewhere online that T-Mobile provided (for free) the Opera browser as an alternative. How do I find it or where do I get it from? I tried downloading from the Opera website, but got an error message during the Install saying a security problem prevented installation. If it matters, I'm a subscriber to T-Zones and located in the U.S. Thanks. --Jeff
T-Mobile and Opera Browser
Jeff,
I use T-Mobile myself but have not seen anything where they provide Opera for free. I have T-zones as well. I suppose you could just call and ask them to be certain. I went ahead and paid the rather large registration cost for Opera tho I find myself using Webviewer more these days because it takes up very little memory and is faster than Opera.

i had Opera already pre-installed on the MMC when i first got the phone from T-Mobile and have been using without any problems. as far as i know, there aren't any subscription fees or anything as i have been using it for the last 3 months. might be worth checking with T-Mobile if they havent provided u with it.
I just got this phone for T-Mobile and Opera was not on the MMC. I thought I had read somewhere that Opera was only included on phones for Europe and Asia

That's pretty much what the Opera site says (there's even a process for getting a new license if you crash your phone). Since there are the european and english version's I'd say NO free Opera as far as I know w/ T-Mobile USA. I didn't get it w/ my T-Mobile phone. IIRC T-Mobile spent a lot of money developing their own browser a while back. Don't know if that's what they did. I feel robbed 😞
