It would be nice if the 7650 supported .swf (flash) files.
Then we could animate the background to our hearts contempt 😊

Funny you should say that...

They still haven't released anything though!
Filling your phone with flash files would take up a fair bit of space. But it would be nice to have the option. At least we can have screensavers, even if it does eat the battery.

Announced that one a bit prematurely didn't they? That was released in 2000.
Yeah 😊
just emailed them to try to get some info
Flash files are usually fairly small - you can you a hell of a lot in less than 10k - if stay off the alpha channel
Well you learn something new everyday!
I thought they were fairly bulky (For a phone with 4mb) files.
I may be mistaken here, but does the Nokia 9210 Symbian phone support Flash? Do they say that it will be 7650 compatible or just for some symbian phones?
Have a quick look at this...

not exactly my idea of what I want on my phone but 19k!
Imagine what kind of stuff you could have!
The flash player would allow you to use swf's on any phone - don't think it would allow you to use them as your wallpaper - I'd think this would involve firmware upgrade type stuff - but you would be able to run Flash applications and view swf animations.

Any phone with Symbian I should say

Thats why I mentioned the idea - as .swf files are very small 8)
Flash on the 9210 is very very slow, don't get your hopes up.
If Macromedia decide to go ahead then perhaps they could work alongside a Symbian softfware company to make your idea a "reality" 😃
