Do I need a Develpment Suite like Borland to program an application or it is enough to have this Series 60 SDK ?

If you want to test in the emulator on the PC, you need an IDE (Integrated Development Environment).

Older SDK's support Microsoft Visual C++ 6 (Visual Studio 6). Newer ones only Metrowerks CodeWarrior or Borland BuilderX.

There is (or used to be) also one version of the SDK that includes Borland C++ Builder 6 on http://forum.nokia.com/ somewhere.

Microsoft's newer Visual Studio.NET is not really supported, but with a bit of trickery the Borland SDK can apparently be made to work, because Borland uses Microsoft's code generator for Windows.

Yes I want to test in the emulator.
Could it be that this one with included Borland C++ Builder 6 is this one

Ok, I'm downloading now a trial Version of Borland Mobile Studio, I think this includes the SDK for Series 60 Platform. I need it only for testing some things. I think the trial Version would be ok for this.

If I understood right, Metrowerks CodeWarrior and Borland BuilderX needs the SDK as a plugin, if I want to make an application for my mobile?

Thank you again.

I've been looking for an implementation of Python that will work on my SX1, but the only thing I've found was an age old version for EPOC OS that didn't work..

Anyone know of such a thing?
