Nice one
Thanks Ae 😊
Very helpful info AE,
Gracias!!
Dont get too excited,i think its still pretty bad,you would think they could have sorted out a lovely program in all this time, instead it seems like it took them about an hour.
And yes,it does save and update quicker, but it takes longer to open previous components and the preview box is now movable,But to where????????? the main working area has been stretched so that where ever you put it is in the way????????????????????????
When i read this post i was expecting a completely new program or at the very least, the problems with the old one,all sorted, instead we have, partially fixed old problems and a few new ones!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a load of rubbish.
Hi!...
Elton i think that you need a new PC 😉 ...
You need some good screen res to work ... like on any other graphics software... the workspace it's define by your desktop resolution... 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768 are not enought ...
I am working at 1400x 1050 on 19" monitor and i use the 300% zoom for the main work screen.. and i use 200% if i turned on the preview only when i really need that... nice that now you don't have to wait the preview to make more changes now on any part of the theme...
The speed is much better than Win2000 version.. (btw i am using Intel P4 3 ghz HT Prescott)...

Hi Ae,
I was going to add, that if you have the very best equipment (As in what you have 😊 ) it will probally be ok,but how many of us do?????
I know its not designed for people like me with a "Basic????" system (I have P4 2.4 ghz,512mb ram,17" and yes 1024x768 but surely that should be good enough??????)
I agree that it is quicker, but like you have said before the old one isnt too bad really,i just expected too much from the new one.
😊
It is an improvement
Hi!...
Yeah you right Elton and i am sorry about that...
i think that Theme Studio it's a so new software, a lot of much feactures and better and adapted interface to all desktop config are needed... but i think this is a very good version to be just a second one... it's like to talk about Photoshop 1.5 or something like that 😉 ... it's not like the Photoshop CS (8.0) don't you think? 😉
Always will be a better version... no matter what amazing feactures are made it ... people always want more and more .. hehe!

Hello,
Sad but true I am still running Windows98, can you get THEME STUDIO for this OS.
or should I move into the 20th century and upgrade my OS.

yep...
when you got a 3G 20th century cell phone... i think at last you need to get a 20th century very updated PC too 😉 ...
The technology advance don't allow you to keep too many different ages tech products together for a long time 😉 ... sad bad it's true... my Sinclair ZX-81 don't work anymore because my Black and White TV it's gone 😞 ... lol!

Hi guys, I have a question about the new theme studio, I installed the new version and now when I make a theme it doesn't seem to accept the icon for videocamera, in the preview everything looks good but when i install the sis file, the icon for video is the custom one. Have any of you got the same problem?
Thanks!

yep, me too... The video rec icon doesn't change. Also the log icon in context menu doesn't change..
Do you think in that case that the older version is the best one to use then? Just dling the new version now but if its got errors would rather go through the ardious task of the 2000 version issues to make it work on xp?! :con?

No,the newest one is definately better, but not by that much.
Stupid Question.
I'm still using the Windows2000 version of ThemeStudio on an XP pc, but I've just downloaded the new version.
When I come to install the new version, will it overwrite the earlier version, or will it stand along side it? In any case, will I need to copy my data files to use bits and pieces I've already created?
Ok, so that's two stupid questions...

When i upgraded,i copied my theme files first, then uninstalled, installed new version, and copied the files back in,to be on the safe side. 😊
Thanks mate. I did that. As it turns out, the uninstaller on the earlier version leaves those folders untouched. But as you said, better safe than sorry. 😊
