videos recorded on p900 are not smooth (help!)

I'm the lucky owner of a p900. Previously I had nokia 7650.
I loved makind little movies on 7650, and I hoped to get a quality improvement when buing p900. Well, the screen is awesome, the colors, resolution! But...well the videos I make with communicorder are not smooth. I dont know about the frame rates, but it's really annoying. When I'm playing back the recorded videos there are those tiny pauses. I tryed changing the setting, but it didnt help.
Is there a solution?
Is philips camcorder better?
Is something wrong with my p900?!

The other thing is you cant make cuts in your videos. Its just one-shot clips you're allowed to do. Does anyone feels bad about it like I do?

Today I was watching my old 7650 films on pc, and they really look better. They're smoother. I know it cant be true. Somebody with a knowlegde I dont have, please help.
