Can I use it to copy the whole of the phone off. Im getting it replaced on thursday as it has a fault and was hoping i could use this. if it is where can you get the addapter?

Thanks and sorry for asking twice

There is a cable available that plugs in somewhere under the battery,so this may be it.
Why dont you buy a Bluetooth dongle and backup your phone using Pc suite?

I hav thought about that but does the pc suite only let you backup what nokia allow? can you backup eveything? if not is there any other software available?

thanks

If you used a mac you get the same thing.

If you use the memory app to copy everything to the mmc and copy the mmc w/ a card reader then you get all your user data (everything). You don't get the rom, but that's the rom so it will reload anyways.

There was a thread on the adapter, but nobody came up w/ an answer. AFAIK the methods for getting to the rest of the phone are private and nokia isn't handing them out.

*Curses nokia for not having charging contacts on the bottom of the phone*

The PC Suite for 6600 backs up everything, except those folders/directories specified in BackupExclusionList.dat in the PC Suite installation directory. Edit that file, and they will be backed up, too.
