I faced a problem of not hearing the Ringing Tone (especially those musical tunes) well when I set my profile to Ringing + Vibrating. The Volume of the Ringing tone was reduced to half of the level compared when no vibration is also set.
I've even changed my phone chasis from the Nokia store and they replaced my old phone body willingly. But the same occur.
It is very loud when not setting to vibrating at the same time.
Similarly as mentioned in other threads, some MP3 are playing softly and difficult to hear via the headset in crowded environment.
Does anybody has the same problem?
MP3's recorded at 16khz and over are quieter than those recorded under 16khz - weird.
Not had the quiet ringtones thou - I find the 7610 much loder than my 3650 was.

When vibration is on, I believe the sound is reduced for the first 5 seconds or so then increased. I guess the logic is that it gives you a chance to answer it without it getting loud. For MP3s I guess it depends on the file. The ones I've tried are plenty loud.

Hi,
I noticed that if you set the volume to "max-minus-one", i.e. not the max-setting but one below, it plays much higher! Had the same problem on my 7650 as well.
Cheers!

I have the same problem with CP Wong. Hardly heard the mp3 ringtone if set vibrated.
I hope Nokia can fix this bug soon (assume this is a bug)
AddeDaMan, max-minus-one really work for 7610? let me try.....
I've tried Adde's method by setting the volume to max-minus-one, and Bingo, it works!!!
