Repeating Calender

Does anyone know how to make the n-gage calender repeat every 4 weeeks? It only has an option for monthly but say i put in an entry on the 21st, it will repeat every 21st for some reason.

From what i know, there isn't any option in any Nokia phone (for those that i've owned so far) calendar to repeat alarms weekly. So if u really need an option to repeat weekly, u might want to look for alternative calendars from third party software vendors like Handango.

Ummm ok thanks, i might have to do this, does anyone have any suggestion on which calender app is worth getting?

What do you need it for? Need to know when it's your girl's time of the month? Cause I could surely use one like that!

😉

I need it for my work rota, i work the same shift every 4 weeks. So lets do an example of today:

Monday 21st June im off so in 4 weeks time, Monday 19th July im off again. So i need the calender to repeat every 4 weeks. It works ok outlook and my old P900 but not on n-gage :frown:

There is a way to repeat the alarms, but you have to use the type 'meeting' (it's meeting I guess, I don't use the english version). When using that type of note/alarm you can set it to be repeated every day/once a week/once in 2 weeks/once in a month/once a year.

Thanx Just a Guest whoever u are, i tried it, yeah its meeting, right at the bottom there's a repeat feature that allows u to repeat even daily. I've never used meeting becoz there's the hassle of needing to add what time the meeting finishes etc.

but doing this it will not repeat the same thing the same day every month, i need an option to do "repeat every 4 weeks"

U can try MyGirls, a free Java program that is really useful. Look for it in my-symbian, u can't miss it, its one of the hottest downloads there.

Oh and ceanth, i don't quite understand, do u want to make it repeat the same thing everyday or every 4 weeks? If its every 4 weeks can't u use the "repeat every month" option?

Dr@n|xX the problem is if i repeat every month it puts the same thing on every day every month, e.g. today will be repeated on the 24th next month. I want today to repeat every 4 weeks because what ever shift i do at work today isnt what im going to be doing next 24th. (we have a 4 week rota which gets repeated, so need the option to do repeating every 4 weeks).

If it doesnt make sence ill try and explain it again (sorry i know its confusing)

OH i see... hmm... that's a tough one that... don't think any basic calendar software is equipped to handle that kind of complicated schedule...
