Dear Guys,

I noticed that the data transfer, program instakation and so on takes a a big time using standard connection cable between PC and 9210.

Whe I syncronise the 2 devices I can take 3-4 hours break.

I am using COM 2 at 115 200 bits per sec.

Is better to use infrared?

I have found infrared to be just as slow.

My resolution was to buy the 128MB MMC, and a USB reader. I then transfer the .sis file to a temp folder on the mmc using the reader (about 2-5 seconds, depending on the .sis) have the phone install from the MMC, then delete the .sis.

I am up and running in about 30 secs, from start to finish.

Why the hurry man.. u said 3-4 hours.
in the mean time make something usfull.. maybe reading the phone's manual? :P

Card reader is definitely an alternative. You are up and running in no time. Unfortunately if you'd like to synch with e.g. Outlook then the card reader is of no help. But Outlook synch usually goes fast.

I have about 1800 contacts in my adress book. All with details.

Also sync with e-mail.

You know something about mail program that sync subfolders and atachements2?

As for MMC reader I have one with 5 sots (the universal type) but did not try it. I use it only for digital camera mmc reading.

See ya

I have some 400 contacts in Outlook. First synch was a pain in the a.., but after that it goes rather fast. Never tried Email Synch.
