Sendo have at last announced that the Sendo X is shipping but of course not to the UK yet.
Sendo today announced that it has begun shipping its highly featured multimedia smartphone, the Sendo X to France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal and Spain during June, with full rollout continuing over the summer months.
And Collecovision announce fantastic cartridge based home video game station, with space invaders and frogger!!!

In fact it is not OUT yet, it is on it's way ... It'll take some days or week to get into "shelves" and in what quantities....
Here in Germany and in the UK the release is not mentioned ....

I really think that Sendo has missed their mark on this phone. I just cannot imagine too many people buying it at this point, maybe a few diehard fans. I've said it before, that last December SendoX would have been one hot item and it would have definitely established Sendo on the smartphone market as a serious player. Now, it's just too little, too late. Just like Siemens with their SX1 - they were too late as well. I came up with an advertising slogan for Sendo: "SendoX: yesterday's technology at tomorrow's prices!" He, he... It's really sad though, this could have been a real winner for Sendo. I think that they really underestimated the importance of timing in this market. The only thing that could save it now, is if they sell it cheap. I sure hope that they are working feverishly on the SendoX successor and release it in a timely manner. And I hope that it runs Second Edition of Series60 on top of Symbian 8 and at least has EDGE support. Anything short of that would again be outdated by the time they release it. Come on Sendo, get it together and get it right next time. 😎
