Bluetooth or sync with your PC suite

you can't do it all in the same time by the IR an also you cant transfer them by Bluetoth.

so i need a way some one try it b4

back up your contact with pc suite and then from the suite send them to the other device. using the phone alone there isnt any way, unless you want to do it one at a time. 8)

Does anyone know of a way of doing this without using PCSuite - I can't get PCSuite to work on my XP machine unfortunately... I was wondering if maybe using a file manager on the phone you could copy contact info, send it to PC (I can still communicate with PC via IrDa, just not use PCSuite), then import it into a Contacts manager (and vice vearsa...)

Never heard of an app that could do that! I think you should work on making pc suite work! There's some threads talking about it , make a search

I have Windows Xp and pc suite running fine.

How about syncing with outlook? can that be done? :-?

So a phonebook editor with bluetooth support is needed!!!

I have a 3COM USB ADAPTER!!! I think it's not possible to make it work with PC Suite...or?

i've tried for a number of weeks now to get pcsuite working - posted in lots of forums, contacted nokia (God, they were brutal! just told me they werent aware of the problem and i should re-install. full stop...), fiddled about myself... pretty much given up on the idea of ever seeing pcsuite working on my machine...

to let the pc suite work with the xp you should go to the folder of the programe file then you go to the folder of the nokia then open the folder of pc suite the go the icon of pc suite and right click on the icon chose Properties the click Compatibility tap
then
put tick in Run this program in compatibility mode for :
and chose windows98 / Windows ME

then click ok after it will work with you verey well 😊.

regarding the transfer i want to transfer all tha contact in the same time not one by one. i didn't find any programe they can do it even the pc suite they can only transfer a contact from auther mobile to your mobile.

so please help me to find a way.

What do you mean when you say can I sync to Outlook - I presumed I would have to get PCSuite working before I could do that? Can I sync directly from outlook to the phone?

the compatibility mode does not enable PCsuite to work on Windows XP. You cannot sync without PC Suite, although there are several utilities that allow you to do this for the Nokia 9210, so hopefully they will be ported over to Nokia 7650. time will tell!

yeah i was searching for something else to let me sync with the 7650 but no luck. I can't help wondering about the fact that this is not a tri-band phone - when things arent released in the states, they seem to get far less support...

since i have spent enormous amount of time i can tel you that:
I have IPAQ395) and NOKIA 7650.
you can transfer !!!!anything!!!! from nokia 7650 to IPAQ 3950 via infrared as files NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.

make sure that you have settings for beam "AUTO" in your IPAQ settings.

to transfer file just select "send to IR". that's all folks. in a few seconds your IPAQ will receive your file over the IR receiver and will promt to save it. For sending files back to NOKIA 7650 we require some extra software.
best one is Conduits PeaceMaker Pro version 1.1 pro or 1.2 Pro.
version 1.02 Pro floating around but it doesn't presume original file extensions and converts all files to .txt. software bug.
If you have version 1.1 pro, then make sure that Auto disabled for your IPAQ Beam in settings. otherwise PeaceMaker will complain that IR port is in use by another application. version 1.2 is free from this deffect and works well regardless of your beam settings. So, we just solved the issue with files transfer.
If you like to send SMS messages or dial thorugh your NOKIA 7650 from Pocket PC, then we require another program : Mobem mPHone 2.5 pro.
I use it with greate success...
at the moment mPHone does not support back up of NOKIA 7650 phonebook, but..... I have response from developers of this software that support for NOKIA 7650 is included in their development plan and will be incorporated in future version. this is very nice program indeed and does support alot of other NOKIA phones.
I suggest to download trial version and have a very good play with it.

sorry sir you cant. :robot: . cuz the PC suite they can transfer the other data or contact to your mobile not from your mobile. so please go back and check what i want.

streat a way i want to transfer my contact to T800 . HOW

cuz if you mark all the contact and chose send, the will give you an option to send it to the email only

If both devices are symbian based and you have a file manager on both devices, you can find the contacts.cdb file on one machine and send it via IR, BT or email to the other and then save it in the relevant place.
