I am using a 3650 phone which used to be an ATT phone until I unlocked it and i'm now using tmobile service .
the problem I am now having is that I can only reply to email that is sent to me. I cannot compose and send a new email to anyone. It keeps giving me a failed message. I also cannot send pictures using MMS.Text messaging works fine though.
I think the problem is that the phone still has some AWS settings I need to change but I dont know which ones and what to change them to.
I have called tmobile tech support but they dont have a clue. They just read off scripts and then ask me to reset my phone and wait 24 hours!!
Any help will be appreciated here .
You need to change the mailbox settings to use T-Mobile's SMTP server for sending.
I am having the same problems. ATT would not unlock the phone so I finally found somebody who would. I can send text messages but can't use WAP or GPRS. Cingular told me that they can't set it up since it isn't their equipment.
I had the same problem. Bought a phone that was AT&T and I am a T-Mobile customer. I called T-Mobile tech support and they fixed me right up. They sent a message to my phone that had the settings embedded in the message. All I had to do was to accept the message and restart the phone. That simple!! And T-Mobile tech support was awsome. A real pleasure to work with them. :icon14: :icon14:
Call to Customer Service Reps at T-mobile. They'll send you confiq. message.
All you need to do just open and follow to instructions.
