I think you're going to have to take it to your service provider and see if they are generous enough to fix it for you. They don't have to though, 'cause you've broken you're contract.
Before that, though, it might be worth trying to do a firmware recovery on the SE firmware update service. Doubt whether it will work, but it's worth a go in the circumstances!

I agree with Bassey: try a firmware upgrade (if there is any available since I understand it is a new device). Still SE will solve the problem for a fee unless they have any kind of agreement that binds them towards your operator. Moral: don't let friends mess up with $$$ worth of equipment unless you really don't care bout your money 😉
It doesn't have to be an update. You can perform a frimware recovery, which should put the same firmware back on the phone. The only problem is, as it's an operator locked handset, SE might not have that operators firmware available online.
Neo001, I must confess : I did start laughing when I saw the crying face in your message - I can just imagine the horror on your face when he told you the phone is faaked!
The last phone I managed to unlock(successfully), was my Nokia 7110 - and I started praying when I clicked the button that starts the unlocking process and stopped when the phone accepted my SIM card again.
I know the service providers in the UK charge you a fee to unlock your phone - can't you do the same in Mexico?
Thanks a lot for your comments you guys :icon14: i have solved the problem , i took it to the place where i bought it . . . didnt said nothing , just said " i dont know whats wrong with this . . . " and fortunately they just gave me another phone (thank god) so right now i got a brand new p900 😮 😊 so like i said thanks a lot !!!!
Hello Everyone
I have a P900 that's giving me the same error message and it's no longer under warrantee. I tried to upgrade the firmware and the said something about checking installation history. I tried to upgrade the firmware on a working phone, and the same thing happened. I left it overnight to see if it was just reaaaaally slow, but it hadn't moved this morning.
Any ideas how I could resolve this, or anywhere in London thaat would be able to flash / unlock it for me?
thanks a lot
