Hi all
After the announcement from SE and RIM on February 23 regarding BlackBerry Serice on P900 is has calmed down a lot. (http://www.rim.com/news/press/2004/pr-23_02_2004-01.shtml)
Does anyone know if we now get this service (and when) or if this was only a marketing joke? :frown:
Cheers
It is not a MKT Joke. The next version of the P900 will have the email push-client based on the Blackberry server which SE has licensed. It will also have a keyboard for easy typing on the inside of the flip. Wi-Fi will be added in Q2 2005
the downside: if I understood well, it will be on a new device although it seems obvious that the email push-client should only be a software update on the P900
bannie - you reckon another whole year before WiFi is added? I'd heard (unsubstantiated) rumours of SE announcing an updated Px00 with a mega pixel camera and WiFi in the next few months... You seem to have something to back your thoughts up, though!
Indeed, I have something to back it up. But it comes from within SE EMEA, which means the message is ONLY valid for EMEA as far as I know, sorry I forgot to mention that. I'm not saying that the rest of the world will be sooner or later ...
I've been using a push email application for my P900 from SEVEN.
SEVEN is offering a free beta of the SEVEN Personal Edition right now. Check out the program info:

BTW Sprint Business Connection is SEVEN. Cingular sells SEVEN too as Xpress Mail Network Edition....
