Does anyone know how to format the game card which is supplied free with the NGage... I got red faction with mine and I finished it in a day. Now the cards practically useless unless I can format it and use for something else. I cannot see a format memory card option in the menu. Please help...
Formatting game cards
well in this forum they dont support this kind of activity so youll have to look somewhere else
but besides that you dont really want to format the games cards, they are uselles dues to are so small and unless you have QD i dont see the point of going to all the trouble (yeha cuz i know its a little complicated thing to do) to format and make the card usable
Why is it "unless he has a QD"? Why isn't it pointless if he has a QD? lol. It's pointless either way. In theory, if you format it you can fit about 3 songs on it. That's it. You can fit another type of data on it, which is what it seems you are trying to do, but that is very illegal and will contribute to the death of the N-Gage. Why are you trying to kill our system!?
Anyway, they can't be formatted as they are not writable at all. They are MMC-ROM (MultiMedia Card, Read Only Memory) cards.
Guys. I dont understand you. Why does formatting a game card seem illegal? C'mon stop being childish.....
YO we dont make the rules its like it is cuz thats the way they make money why you think they make CDs and DVD cuz they want to sell you stuff so unless your bill gates or something deal whit it lol
and yes its useless cuz if you dont have a QD and are not able to swap cards quick dont see the point of having a 7mb than the only thing you can put its sis and java games that even thoug can be fun and addictive youll get bored from bus stop to bus stop
Hi,
In answer to your question - YES you can.
As long as you do not attempt to crack the games' code formatting is OK.
The intellectual property is on the software, not physical memory card.
Wiping the card means that the games' keepers code is no longer on the card.
Happy formatting
M
PS The answer should not breach the forum's rules
The N-Gage game cards are not writable. So, you can't format them.
I beg to differ, I have done it so from first -hand experience I can say YES you can!!!

Are you going to enlighten the experts then?
Why don't you just sell the game if you're finished with it and by another memory card with the money you receive from it?
