The Ogg Vorbis Controller Plugin

I installed this last night and converted a few things to OGG. I converted one complete song, and that played fine but I am not using my phone as a music player so I cut some segments out of songs that would make good ringtones and converted those. Not a problem.
You can use either mono or stereo, but of course the stereo is just a waste of space really and also the mono does sound better (well it would, wouldn't it 😃 )
I used dbpoweramp and Roxio Sound Editor to convert the files and used the default 64kps constant bit rate in Roxio.
I will be looking through my rather large sound effects collection, for sounds for message alerts. (shall I go for comedy value farts and burps? or something more sensible? 🙄 )

I try with DBpoweramp to convert a MP3 to OGG...
Using this Parameters:

Mono
Constand Bitrate
64Kbits
44100Hz

An try... not work :'(

You only have installed the Plugin? only the one file .SIS
You have installed the OggPlayer 1.0 ????

I have only installed the plugin that the link you used and the news article pointed at.
How are you transfering your file to your phone?
I just sent it via bluetooth and clicked on the file in the inbox and it opened up in the inbuilt recorder application and I could play it, I saved it and then it was available for me to choose in profiles as a ring tone.
I have noticed that the time duration bar does not always work properly, with my 14sec clip it does not move straight away and then only gets a quarter of the way.
I know you have probably checked this but is the volume in recorder turned up? and can the OGG file play on your computer?

Yes... i can ear the same file in my Phone using OGGPLAYER and works... and in my PC works... none files i tries works... You can send me a Working file please?... is for test.. please... please... i add you in my AIM (AOL)

Thanks!!!... you help me... really many thanks!!... i really apreciate your help.
i'm spanish and want to use a Ogg ringtone

Just a thought oggplayer maybe conflicting with the OGG recognition files you have just installed, and with the new files you wouldn't need oggplayer. Can you un-install it and if it doesn't work re-install it?

Yes... i try to uninstall but same... i not ear the file... i try a WAV and works, and AMR works... and MIDI, only OGG files not work with the standard recorder... i waiting for the file

Ok, i find the problem... this version of the plugin only works with 3.49.1 firmware of Nokia...

I hope someone can take the source code from the site and sort it for later version of firmware then for everyone who doesn't hang on to old firmware like me.

I don't believe this that ogg and mp3 files can still not be used as ringtones. Come-on symbian programmers, do something.
