Installing .jad and .jar files

Hi every1,

I finally got to connect my NGage to the PC using the USB cable :icon14: But I dont know how to install the *.jad and *.jar files. Please help

Open the Pc Suite and connect your phone. Click on Tools in the top bar, then install software.

Simple!

Alternatively you could E-Mail, or Bluetooth the files to the phone.

I thought PC suite only works with bluetooth. And is it necessary to run PC Suite's "application installer"? Isn't it possible to simply drop the appropriate files in the the removable hard drive that represents the MMC?

Or am I confusing the process used for *.sis and *.jar/*.jad files? (if it's in fact different)

I think I found a simpler way of doing this.... though it may have been posted in the forum earlier... Dragging and droppping the .jad/.jar files wont install them in the phone. But you could drag and drop and then use file explorer (FExplorer) to search for the file and then install the app through it ... simple 😃

Couldn't agree more! Just use any file manager. Copy jar files from PC via USB. Disconect phone from PC, open file manager, find yuour jar files on E: and just click on them. File manager will do the rest. Works for me...
