Hi guys. I just downloaded and installed an application called "n gage patch to store messages in mmc.Sis". I then found out that I couldn't access my e-mails anymore because the settings had been erased ( or moved maybe). I uninstalled but the settings didn't return. I even did a memory backup but that didn't help. Could the author reply to tell me how to restore original settings, or at least tell me what it does? I don't really want to do a phone reset. Thanks in advance for any help!

First time I hear of such an app.

Why do you think the author would be here?

Didn't the program come with a "readme" file or other documentation that says who wrote it and how/where they can be contacted?

Next time, do a full backup before you try to install and use unknown software from unknown sources (and then a restore). If you already have a backup made (before the installation of this piece of software), do a *#7370# reformat and then restore the backup.

Thanks for your reply mate. I was weary of installing the application because it sounded too good to be true, and it was only an sis file-no zip archive with a readme! I did do a memory backup but because it was only around 500k I thought it only saved system files and I'd lose all my settings/messages (I have LOADS!) so a *# reset was not an option for me. I guess I have fixed the problem now though 😊

i installed the same app, and lost my sms's. how did u manage to get them back? 😡
