hi everyone,
I am new in this forum and I have a couple of questions about P900 phone.
I have read the faq and I have searched google for answers before posting here.
Not sure, but I think I might have found a bug in the email client. The problem is that I want emails to be sorted by date so that last emails appear at the top of the list. P900 does that when you click Edit -> sort by date. It sorts the emails according to the date email was sent, not the time it was recieved. Plus, it ignores timezone. As a result, if I have recieved 10 emails in the last 5 hours, and someone would send me another one right now, AND that someone would have time set 6 hours back from now, the email would appear at the end of the list, instead of appearing at the top. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to fix it.
what is more than strange, that this also affects SMS messages. SMS messages sent from www are also misordered, if the server time is defferent than P900 time.
thank you for your answers
I dont know about the e-mails, cause so far I havent noticed any problem with them, but as far as for the SMS, sometimes I have the same thing as well.
The SMS date stamp is placed my the operator of the sender and if the operator allows for time zone adjustment, the time and date are re-adjusted by the local operator of the recipient.
I have a friend in Czech republic using Oskar, and whenever he sends me an SMS it always appears with HIS local time, that is 1 hour behind my own time zone... This results in his SMS being placed somewhere in the middle of the list if I have received any other msgs in the last hour. No solution to that so far, since its an operator based problem.
Mind that I only have this problem with Oskar... Any other msgs I get from around the world are always readjusted to my local time when I receive them.
literal is right, you can't change this, er, feature.
Sort by time of receipt would be handy,
as would message threading and message folders.
:frown:
I've been using a push email application for my P900 from SEVEN. It has it's own client which is pretty cool.
They are offering a free beta of the SEVEN Personal Edition right now. Check out the program info:
