video streaming using RTP

Hello all,

I would like to capture a video and use RTP for real time transmission to a PC. The streaming is working but there is a 5 sec delay ..

I am trying to figure out if it's either the encoding or the real time transmission that causes the delay.

Also, I was wondering if there is a way to monitor the bandwith of the GPRS connection?

One way to determine a very approximate transmission time would be to use IPview or something else that will let you ping another system. Take the roundtrip ping time to the machine, and divide by two (to give you the one-way time). That will give you a rough idea, at the very least... which is better than nothing.
