Turn off phone, still use PDA?

On the 6600, is it possible to turn off the phone and still have the power on to use the PDA functionality? I haven't figured out how to do this, and can't seem to find anything on the boards related to it.

As far as I know it's not possible, as it's not a full PDA. The most you could do is set a divert up straight to answerphone but that doesn't stop the phone from emitting signals so would be no use for planes and the like.

The new version of psiloc system tools has 6600 compatibility. It allows you to enter flight mode.
(I didn't see this in the AAS store link, it may be in the handango one..clicking shop at the top of this page, but my con is slow to that right now or something.) Here's the vendor link, but obviously it's better if you get it through the AAS links.

it looks like you use it, turn off your phone, pull your sim, then turn it on (so you probably don't want to keep anything on your sim).

Anyone tried this?

I have read somewhere here about a Flight mode app where you can hold down the red button whilst turning on the phone to enter flight mode so there is no need to remove the sim,(But you cant access info from it when in flight mode).

yo elton hope all fine with you. this piece of news sounds interesting. could you please find out the name of the software cos i'm tired of this system tools app which we have to always remove the sim card and then only enter flight mode. it would be very nice and really cool if we could access flight mode without removing the sim card and accessing some important information stored in the sim. thanks!
