Hi, i have some questions about the "Lock Phone" on the Nokia 6600.

1. If i was to lock the phone, would it be actaully locked after a couple of tries (would it be blocked?)

2. if the battery was taken out and re-put in would the phone still be in lock mode?

Thanks..

well the lock code gives ya 5 tries then, u have to wait 5mins to try again , but it will not block. and the only way to get it reset is to take to a nokia service centre.
lol no if ya take battery out it will still b there. :icon4:

Oh ok, so 5 tries = a temp block, and then after 5 mins its normal, so how does it actaully get blocked so that you can take it to a nokia service centre? i dont get it :s

What he means is, if you forget what your Lock Code is, the only was to reset the code is to get Nokia to reset it for you.

The Lock Code locks the Phone and is different from the Sim code / Pin which locks the sim card. If you enter the sim card code in wrong a certain number of times, it will block the phone asking for a PUK code.
And then if you enter the PUK code imcorrectly too many times it will destroy the sim card.

Yes you can and yes it does,

Couldnt you have tested this for yourself? Lol 😊

thinkin to myself why I asked this dumb question...

at that moment I was at the university without any phone near me to test my cell 😃

I managed to block it... any advise before service center? I have bought it only two months now, but they demand 18 EURO to unlock it... :frown:

If its "blocked" then it must be the Sim Card pin that you've entered incorrectly NOT the phone password. What exactly does the message say on the screen?
