I have my lovely 7610 but can't find the MMS & GPRS settings for it anywhere, I'm on O2 but they are being less then unhelpful about it all because I didn't buy the phone from them!...Can anyone help me??.....Oh yes I forgot I'm on pay as you go as well, and believe the settings are different? :?

did you try nokia's web site ?
I got my setup from there... a.m.f. I do not use your company...

Yes I tried the nokia site but unfortunately they only send them on the assumption it's a contract phone but mine is pay as you go and they don't have these settings :frown:

so did the settings wizard that came on the phone not fetch them for you?
Worked fine for t-mobile.
I'm sure a google search will give you the settings, the 6600 ones should be the same.

According to the 02 Games website:

Customers with a Nokia phone can get the correct settings by sending a text to 2020. Send the following keyword depending on your tariff:

For standard settings send TEXT to 2020
For GPRS Pay & Go settings send SEND to 2020
For Pay monthly settings sends POST to 2020

Your settings will be sent directly to your handset. Make sure you save and activate them as soon as you receive them so your handset is ready to access the O2 Games Arcade whenever you want.

I'm on O2 (pay monthly) - but their support for the 7610 is rubbish! Trying to access their site using Opera is impossible, and there is currently no way to download the games either...

thank bloody god !! 😊 hope this helps... jay.

I also have a 7610 on O2, and after a month of calling their support line I finally got GPRS working, but so far MMS does not work.

It seems that the networks themselves haven't updated to handle MMS from or to the 7610. When I try my phone connects ok to GPRS, whether sending or receiving, but that's it, it just hangs there until I disconnect.

As I understand it, it's something that will sort itself out once everyone updates, for now though it is pretty annoying.

Still, the phone is fantastic, so mushn't grrrumble.

I too, spent about a month emailing and phoning O2 to get my GPRS set up. Eventually they sent me the configuration settings for the 7610, which they say they got from the Nokia website.

MMS works now on my 7610 but seems to take a long time to send. O2 did have to set this up against my account if i remember.

I am on pay monthly and my connection settings are:

Connection Name: O2 MMS
Data Bearer GPRS
Access Point name: wap.o2.co.uk
Username: o2wap
Prompt password: No
Password: **** (i think it is just blank)
Authentication: Normal
Homepage: http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002

Advanced:
Phone IP address: Automatic
Primary...: 0.0.0.0
Second...: 0.0.0.0
Proxy...: 193.113.200.195
Port Number: 8080

Make sure the multimedia settings then point to this access point. Hope this stops anyone else from having to go through what I (and dusk) had to go through 😊

Very weird, my settings match what you show above, but it doesn't work. After trying for a while my message eventually reads "resend at ..." about 4 minutes later. So far, after a month on O2 with this phone I have yet to send or receive an MMS message.

I might be stating the obvious but have you tried going on the o2 website and having the settings sent to your phone?

Its in 'Help'

Dusk... What They (o2) Dont Tell You Is That As Well As The Settings That You Initially Put In Your Phone You Also Have To Do The Following For Mms To Work...

Go Onto Your Settings...and Then Connection..and Go Down To Gprs...and After The First Box, You Should Enter Your Ip Address In There..o2,s Being..193.113.200.195.

Also Make Sure Your Mms Settings Are Using Gprs...and ...that You Have Your Ip Address And Proxy Port Number (8080) In Your Advanced Settings..for Gprs. Hope This Helps.good Luck Buddy... 😉
