Hi I was hoping someone out there can help me.
I just got the 7610 and cant seem to connect it to My PC.
The PC suite finds the cell but i cant view any entry like messages or video clips from the cell om my pc.
Do i have to transfer all the info onto teh PC first ?

I'm not sure ~ but I don't think you can view your messages on the PC ...

Try doing a backup of the phone. Then you'll know if the connection is working (via USB or BT?)

I did it via USB. The thing backed up, i know cos i got document in a nokia folder saying backed up. BTW the pc suite only recognises the fone memory not the card memory.
But either way i cant manipulate any data from the PC

Oxygen Phone Manager II for Symbian never works for any of my S60 phones via Bluetooth. It only worked once with 6600 and Infrared.

Now that I have a 7610 ... OPM is useless. Its features isn't as great as the OPM2 for S40 phones!

Well through the file browser I can see both the phone and the RS-MMC folders. Although I can only actually view things like mp3's, ringtones, images, video, contacts etc. Doesnt let u view everything. Most likely a good thing for me as i would prolly stuff something up!

I have connected via usb and had no problems at all. My only issue with the software is that you can't close it fully and for someone who has tweaked the max outta their machine thats really annoying!

You might want to restart you computer and try to connect the phone via the usb cable AFTER you have opened the PC Suite. I've noticed that this common if you tend to store your files in your memory card OR you connect the phone after your PC has been on for a long time.

Anyway, now I restart my computer and wait for the program to initizalise before I conenct the phone and it works fine.

Hi
can n e one tell me where in Mumbai can i get an RS-MMC for my 7610
Thanks

I connect using the supplied USB cable, I open My Computer then click the 7610 icon, in that folder, click the 7610 icon again and choose memory card or phone memory, then you can download your images, vids, etc

A: You can browse files with "File Transfer" and once you find the right file, just double click it and file is transferred to PC and opened

Another possibility is to open the application (for example Nokia Multimediaplayer for videos) go to "Files" select "Open" and select the file and the video is played.
