Hi
I am using cd'n'go to encode my music into ogg format to play on my 6600, when i open the file in ogg player it says ,
"This ogg file has been encoded using sampling rate = 44100 hz. Unfortunately your phone only supports audio playback for the following rates: 8000, 16000. ogg play will do the required convertion in order to allow you play the ogg. But if you're concernd about the size of your ogg files, please consider encoding them in a rate supported by your phone."
I can't figure out how to make the file encode lower than 44100 hz, am i using the right program to encode.
Also sometimes i get an error message saying, App close mu. The oggplayer closes. Any help grately appreciated.
From my previous posting elsewhere:
OggPlay is available for free at
http://symbianoggplay.sourceforge.net/
Just download the one for the 6600.
To convert from mp3, or wma to ogg, use dbPowerAMP - another free tool:
http://www.dbpoweramp.com/
Just be sure to download the necessary codecs as well.
I'm using 64kbps quality, mono sound and 16000 Hz sampling rate (though I think the quality set at 45kbps is also all right) - with this, an mp3 file that was 3MB in size was coded to an ogg file of 600+ and 800+ kb for the 45kbps and 64kbps sampling rate respectively. Of course the size will vary depending on the instruments and voices (ie the frequency present) in the song.
With DB Poweramp it errors when i try to encode at 16000. Do i need a different codec? If so where from. I couldn't find it in the obvious places.

Use this trick. Encode your mp3s to mono with the sample rate at 16000 and then encode it to ogg leaving the sample rate set to same as original file or something like that. It should work.
