yah.... people have tried SD cards without any success..... So you're looking at MMC cards only! Check out ATP MMC cards....users w/ nokia phones have been using them up to 1GB without fail! I'm here to help if you have any questions....

Get your self a card reader or use PC Suite or the PC File Manager from Epocware.

For cheap mmc cards (if you're prepared to wait up to a week to receive them), go to www.7dayshop.co.uk
I've just bought a 256mb mmc card for 19.99 from there the other day - should be arriving in the next couple of days or so.

The disc included in the QD's box has the software to do that. Like GhostDog said, its called PCSuite. If its BIG files, get yourself a card reader instead. Bluetooth is not very fast.
You know, even the manual to the QD says it can take up to 1 gig chips! Ive got a SanDisk 128mb now, but Im going to upgrade. 😃

Where does it say in the manual that the QD supports up to 1GB MMCs; what page or section?

Jeez, I have to get the disc out.
Ok, page 29. "Your game deck supports compatible MMC cards with memory from 16MB up to 1GB."
What, you didnt believe me?

My Australian QD manual doesn't make that claim, in fact, it doesn't directly specify the maximum size a memory card can be anywhere in the manual! However, under the "Enhancement" section at the back, the manual states that "32, 64, 128 MB, 256MB MMC cards" are compatible with my QD... My Australian N-Gage manual does not specify or even hint at what the maximum size a memory card can be. Confusingly, under the technical specifications section of N-Gage.com, it is claimed that the N-Gage officially supports up to 512MB memory cards and the QD officially supports up to 256MB memory cards!

Oh, you're referring to the manual on the CD-ROM? I can't check that- I don't currently own a computer (wouldn't it be the same as the paper manual though?)!

Yea, the one that came in the box. I wonder if there are different "printings" of the manual for our regions? :?

I would have thought that the manuals would have been the same globally, with the only difference being the region-specific information (eg. Phone numbers, URLs, etc...), but obviously not.

Not that I have the money to buy one, but they can take a 1 gig MMC right? I bet that would take FOREVER to format.

Officially, no; unofficially, sometimes- some brands work and some brands don't! My advice to you (or anyone else thinking about buy a 1GB memory card) is to check out what your fellow N-Gagers have to say on the various N-Gage forums... This way you will have a complete understanding of what does and doesn't work with your game deck!
