cant change reminder melody

anyone tried this? there is an option to do it in the sound settings, but it just uses the default one all the time. 😞

From what I remember, it doesn't change the melody of reminders already created, it changes the default melody presented to you next time you create a reminder, but you can change this each time anyway.

Actually, it seems completely sensible. Say, for example, you have a few thousand appointments set up in the future, and you've used a system whereby you have a different alarm tone for different types of event. If the device was set up so that changing the default ringer went and changed the alarm of all future appointments, you'd be considerably pissed off!

mmm.....yes, i can see that. but, for someone who wants to have all reminders with the same tone, it is also a pain. maybe there should be an option to 'change all reminder tones'?

Try this...chose one melody you like for the alarm, other for the reminder and for notification with few KB (like 40>50KB)...you can look the example in the C:\system\data\defaultsounds\

now...rename the alarm.mp3 to (example) Alarm_original and the same for the others (I think is ok only change the Alarm and the reminder); and now...via BT or IR tranfer from PC the new melodys or if you have already in your P900 (Fileman)...copy or move to the C:\system\data\defaultsounds\ your new melodys and save this files with the names of the original files...Alarm.mp3 for the alarm, etc. (let in this folder the renamed files because if you want the original melody is there)!

I hope help you and others with this trick :icon14:

thanks for that info.....but, i dnot have a C:\system\data\defaultsounds\ drive on my phone? only an audio dir. unless it is a hidden dir?
