Normal head phones are 'Stereo' and as the 6600 is 'mono' when you find an adapter (like the one that comes with an N-Gage for example) it will just say 'enhancement not supported' so they are no good at all.

The best thing to do is buy a "dual headset" such as the official Nokia HDD-1- http://www.nokia.co.uk/nokia/0,,733,00.html

I picked up a brand new sealed one from a BIN Ebay sale for 4 shipped 😃

It works very well. Its only downside is the chunky clip/mic which is slightly too large IMO, but the 'phones work very well with all sound the phone produces. It also automatically shuts off the internal speaker when connected, and shows up as a "headset" when connected. It does this with all apps I've used with it so far, such as a phone call, games (official and 3rd-party) and SmartMovie. :icon14:

thanks both of you

ive alredy got the hdd1 but the wires sre too long and my clip is a dud

do you kno if there are any other headsets for the 6600
