😡 ...Ok first I have a bluetooth and it doesnt work because I am unable to connect with mrouter. I have paired the 2 and everything. So I buy infrared....no luck at all. If I go to connect on my phone it sits and does nothing. But if i go to my album and send a picture via infrared my computer has a popup that says the nokia 6600 has been found. And when i look in the nokia connection manager its shows the nokia 6600 and i try to click it but it says in use by another user. So that didnt help still no way to connect in mrouter. In mrouter it says infrared not connected...thats it.. no other coms are in there since i disabled my dialup modem because i thought it was interfering. Please anyone give me some advice. If someone would be kind enough to post that would be great. Irda is Sigmatell..
Thank you very much
PC Suite problem 10+hours and counting??
I spent a lot of sleepless nights over this myself and thankfully was able to sort most of the problem.
my two cents:
1. try reinstalling the bluetooth driver. 90% of the time you won't be able to get the bluetooth up and running again once it hangs.
2. the PC should initiate the connection, not the handphone. this i read from a magazine and confirmed through personal experince. (it hangs less).
3. try another bluetooth brand. I first got a giha brand dongle (up to 10m), but hangs everytime i used it. i returned it and got an MSI brand (up to 100m), it hangs around far less. Generally you're better off with a higher class bluetooth dongle. Once you initiate virtual serial port connection, m router in the taskbar should light up in no more than 10 seconds, if it doesn't, it means the PC has hanged or crashed.
4. when you're through using PC suite, (and you must follow this sequence otherwise it would hang) turn off bluetooth from the small icon in the taskbar, before closing PC suite. last to be turned off is the phone bluetooth.
also make sure to make a bluetooth serial port to your phone

I've got tha same problem with infrared!!
I tried everything but nothing worked
Help me please!!!
All I did was turn my blutooth off on my phone and after that it started working. I also disabled my dialup modem as i think the com port was a conflict. Give it a try and let me know if it works.
