Has anyone encountered this or have a solution ?

I cant get rid of the headphone symbol ! i used my radio as normal yesterday with the headphones, since then it wont go ! wouldnt mind but its affecting things like ringtones, they're coming thru very quietly.

tried turning on and off a few times, using the headphones and radio again, switched profiles but no joy.

help anyone ?

TIA.

Possibly dirt in the headphone connector making the phone think it still connected. If you have a can of compressed air, try to blow it to the headphone hole. If not, most any electronics repair shop probably can help you.

thanks, didnt have any handy at work but another piece of technology seems to have worked....a bent paperclip.

My 8910i got the same problem. I spent 3 hours working on it.
Problem encounterred because u dropped yr phone or smt like that.
All u have to do is to play with it.

. Get a very tidy screwdriver, or unfold your paper clip.
Dial a number and leave it on (ex your service provider number)
Slice the paper clip in (the headphone jack), point to the left, then point to the right, keep moving in and out (like when u make love wit smone) (while the call s still actives)
***Until the screen shows a message like "The Accessories is not supported"
Then well done.
