'GPRS not available'

i just got my nokia 7610, when i tried to connect to the web it said 'GPRS: GPRS not available - check network services'... my phone is on contract with 02 and I tried to download the GPRS settings for it from 02.co.uk but they didnt seem to have them for the nokia7610... i tried getting the settings from different phones but it still just said 'GPRS: GPRS not available - check network services'... ive spent money on a coupla games but i cant get em cos i cant get onto the web to download them... its REALLY annoying! could anyone help at all??

I have much the same problem on my nokia 3510i 'GPRS connection not available'. I have made sure te network settingsa re correct. I got the details from web page http://www.cctvsafe.com/support/phone_settings.htm

If you find out the solution let me know.

Go to 02 and go to the my phone section, then download the setting for the 6600 or call the service center and ask them to send them you. Where did you get the phone from?

Also have you ran the settings wizard?

Hi i'm doing this from memory so might not be quite correct.
When i got my phone on o2 contract all the settings were allready setup up for all networks. Must be because it's sim free?? Anyway i ran the settings wizard before i checked this!! And gprs didn't work. I went to web->options->settings. And choosed defualt access point as o2 wap gprs. I think because i ran the wizard it put in o2 wap gprs (1) and if you run the wizard again it came up with o2 wap gprs (2) ect ect... I delected these and set it for o2 wap gprs. (origional!) And now it works.
