'GPRS not available'

i just got my nokia 7610, when i tried to connect to the web it said 'GPRS: GPRS not available - check network services'... my phone is on contract with 02 and I tried to download the GPRS settings for it from 02.co.uk but they didnt seem to have them for the nokia7610... i tried getting the settings from different phones but it still just said 'GPRS: GPRS not available - check network services'... ive spent money on a coupla games but i cant get em cos i cant get onto the web to download them... its REALLY annoying! could anyone help at all??

I think O2 were having problems this afternoon because both me and my mate couldnt get GPRS to work when it is normally fine.
I think its ok now so if it still doesnt work maybe you need to contact them and make sure GPRS is enabled on your account.

its still not working... i think i'd better contact them... ah well :frown:

i had exactly the same problem. o2 couldnt fix it after a few expensive phonecalls to them (knew i should of stuck to orange!) all you have to do is go to the nokia site type 'WAP SETTINGS' in the search site and it has a setup wizard thing. worked fine for me for MMS and GPRS.
